Source population
The search index is FMCSA’s SMS Input — Motor Carrier Census Information dataset, filtered to carriers whose physical state of record is Texas and whose passenger-carrier threshold flag is false. That is the exact query. That flag records whether a carrier is subject to the passenger-carrier threshold; a false value is not proof that a carrier never transports passengers. Being included in this list is not a rating, and it does not establish that a carrier is currently operating — a record can persist after a carrier stops running. This is not a list of “all Texas carriers” or of “every carrier that operates in Texas.” The index carries only a carrier’s USDOT number, legal name, DBA name, and city/state; it holds no contact, address, or safety figures.
What a result is
This lookup is a search directory. Every match opens that carrier’s official federal records by its numeric USDOT number, each in a new tab: the FMCSA SAFER Company Snapshot summary, the FMCSA Detailed Safety Data (SMS) public safety information, and the Licensing & Insurance registration record on the U.S. DOT Motus system. This site does not display or publish any safety figures on these pages — no ratings, inspection or crash counts, out-of-service rates, or derived scores; the links simply hand you to the agency’s own systems. Availability differs by carrier and some information is not public. For a carrier’s official record and its displayed dates, you always end up on the federal agency’s own page.
Dataset scope and dates
The search index is a fixed directory of USDOT numbers, names, and city/state — it is not a live feed and is not updated continuously. It carries a retrieval date and a “source dataset update at retrieval” date drawn from the FMCSA source platform, shown on the lookup page. That timestamp is a property of the source platform’s dataset, not a verified effective date for any single carrier’s record, and a fixed directory can miss carriers added or changed after it was retrieved. Match the USDOT number and city/state—not just a similar company name. For anything time-sensitive, rely on the carrier’s official record and its displayed dates on FMCSA, not this directory.
What this tool does not do
It publishes no safety figures, danger scores, inspection-percentile scores, national benchmarks, or rankings, and it offers no side-by-side comparison or downloadable safety dataset. It does not rank carriers, infer fault, or forecast trends, and it draws no conclusion that any carrier is safe, unsafe, at fault, or operating illegally. Inclusion in the directory is not a rating and does not establish that a carrier is currently operating.

This is an independent search directory built on public FMCSA records. It is not an official or live FMCSA page, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by FMCSA or the U.S. Department of Transportation. For a carrier’s current, authoritative record, use the FMCSA source each result links to.
Corrections
To report a transcription or listing error in this directory — for example a name or USDOT that no longer matches the official record — email [email protected]. Include the USDOT number, the affected field, and a link to the official FMCSA evidence. Do not send confidential accident records. This directory does not refresh automatically; a federal-source correction does not automatically change this site’s listing. An error in our reproduction of a name and an error in the federal record are separate correction requests.
